Let's talk about yesterday...
Hey guys! So, the dust is settling after releasing our news yesterday. Everyone here at Little Acre is so touched by the emails, comments in the cafe and on Facebook, Instagram. Our team cannot thank you enough for your custom and friendly support throughout our three years as a business.
We thought it was best to release a little more information on what will be replacing our Little Acre cafe.
A little context.
Little Acre is part of a larger business; a full-service events company Hall & Co. Event Design which has been standing for 4 years now planning, catering and styling small to large events across the Cambridgeshire area. You may have seen a big white 'Hall & Co. Event Design' van driving around and loading in front of Little Acre. Hidden just behind Little Acre, the Hall & Co. business has grown from a one woman army, to now offering the four most important elements in event design with a small army behind it. Just like Little Acre, Hall & Co. is Run by Elizabeth & Dominic Hall. The duo have now ventured into a third business, Gather Grow Connect which will replace the Little Acre space.
Little Acre will become a membership social spot with co-working space for those cafe internet hoppers, workshops for business & personal growth as well as an online community with other creative small business owners and entrepreneurs. GGC will be launching in April, bringing a new modern touch to the small business creative community. The Little Acre venue space is available however is under new management (GGC), available with discount at various GGC membership tiers (see the Instagram for more details).
Hall & Co. will be taking over the Little Acre lunch deliveries. Our team work across both business (LAK, Hall & Co), meaning staff are included as well as knowledgeable in every aspect of service of the business reflecting our ethos as fresh, imaginative and personal. We hope you can accept our business move. We understand it's a shock, but there comes a time when things must move forward.
This is not the end of Little Acre Kitchen! We will be popping up here and there, but you can find us in another form. The form of an events business! Thank you everyone for the support.
We hope this clears up a little more of the questions of who, what, when and WHY. Little Acre has been doing amazingly over its two, almost three years, but it’s gotten to the point the café has become oversubscribed. As a result, Hall & Co. has not been granted the attention it needs in order to grow the way we would like to see it. With a new business in the works, our team can divert equal attention to, as well as reliving stress on our kitchen team who work across Hall & Co and Little Acre. GGC will be a form of Little Acre in its hygge way of being, but offer more of a community aspect.
